The Chamber Ensemble of Queen Mary was formed at the request of students to tackle more advanced repertoire and foster ever-increasing standards of performance. They work with the Director of Music on repertoire from all periods. Most recently they have performed works by Vivaldi, Mozart (Piano concerts nos 13 and 20), Finzi (Eclogue) and Prokofiev (Overture on Hebrew Themes). The Chamber Ensemble participates in workshops with leading musicians such as cellist Gabriella Swallow.
